Summer Vacationing in Croatia

The area known as Croatia was inevitably inhabited in prehistoric times. It is known from Neanderthal fossils from the Paleolithic Age. In addition, the remains of Chalcolithic and Neolithic cultures have been found throughout the country. The most impressive of these remains can be found today in the Krapina region.

Later, Croatia actually played host to settlers from Greece and Rome. The emperor known as Diocletian actually built a sizable castle in the city of Split, which he eventually retired in AD 305. In the 5th century, Julius Nepos ruled his territory from this castle after fleeing Italy. Unfortunately, he was killed only a year later.

Today Croatia is a memorable place for a summer vacation and a country that should definitely be on your wish list as far as you want to visit it. Political unrest caused tension in Croatia, and eventually declared its independence on June 25, 1991. On July 1, 2013 Croatia was actually indoctrinated in the EU!

The city itself is surrounded by 16th-century stone walls which are impressive both in structure and size. There are also many well-preserved historical buildings in the area that are worth a look.

The baroque church "St. Blaise" next to the Gothic Chancellor's Palace Museum will make it difficult to sit still. The pedestrian-friendly Stradun or Plaka is paved with limestone, which makes the whole street shine. The area is lined with first-class shops and restaurants, give it a try, make sure there's something to see and bring, so watch out for this wallet!

Looking for great nightlife? Dubrovnik, Croatia has got you covered. Many of the beaches in the area have clean water, friendly people, and beach bars. These beach bars and clubs are the heart of the city. In addition to bars and a very interesting nightlife, there is also an orchestra, modern art museum and other art galleries if that is your thing. This cultural center is ideal to visit, especially in summer because of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, which fills the streets with music and many artists.

Dalmatia and natural paradise

Dalmatia is one of the four historic districts of Croatia. Others are Croatia, Slavonia and Istria itself Dalmatia is located in a narrow belt on the east coast of the Adriatic Sea. It varies from the island of Wed to the Bay of Kotor, which lies in the south. Dalmatia takes its name from the ancient Illyrian tribe known as the Dalmatians who once lived there.

Once you arrive in Dalmatia, you will be surprised at how much there is to see and do. The mountain known as Dinara, for example, is a mountain right on the border between Herzegovina, Bosnia and Croatia. There are two main peaks here: Dinara and Troglav. Dinara is the highest peak in all of Croatia and it's fascinating - it's shaped like a human head! This is the perfect place for swimming, climbing, or hiking, depending on your preferences.

Then we have the beautiful Punta Rata, which is one of the most beautiful sheltered rock beaches in the world. When you enjoy the outdoors, you shouldn't be looking for more natural beauty. Apart from beautiful beaches, Punta Rata is also surrounded by beautiful pine trees. According to Forbes, it is one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world.
